A day after a channel spokesperson confirmed that The Kapil Sharma Show goes off air soon, the comedian-actor has also confirmed that he is unwell.
TV star Kapil Sharma, who has been going through a rough phase in his life, will not be seen on TV for some time as his hit show - The Kapil Sharma Show - has been pulled down. A day after a channel spokesperson confirmed news of the show going off air, the comedian-actor has given the reason behind the decision - he is unwell.
“Yes, I am just going to rest for some days. It is just a drop of a few episodes because I cannot ignore my health at this stage when my movie is also going to release and the coming schedule is going to be more hectic. I will come back with full force. I am thankful to the channel that they allowed me and did not put any pressure,” Kapil told Pinkville.
“Kapil is suffering from blood pressure issues and stress, which is affecting his work. The decision to take a break from shooting fresh episodes was taken mutually between Kapil and the channel,” a source close to the show had told Hindustan Times.
“Kapil has been under the weather for sometime now. Due to this, we have mutually agreed to take a short break. However, once Kapil has recovered completely, we will start shooting again. We value our relationship with Kapil and wish him a speedy recovery,” an official spokesperson from the channel said.
Sony plans to re-run old episodes of the The Kapil Sharma Show for the time being, with a change in the timing.

Coming as a good news, actor Aftab Shivdasani and Nin Dusanj tied the knot in an intimate ceremony while on a vacation in Sri Lanka. The longtime lovebirds actually had registered their marriage on June 5, 2014, but the wedding ceremonies were long pending. While in Sri Lanka, the two made up their mind to have a destination wedding at a resort in Tangalle on the south east coast. After the mehndi and a party on the beach on the first day, the two renewed their wedding vows on the second day amid the presence of close family and friends and local Sri Lankan monks.
While Aftab arrived like a king on an elephant looking demure in a white Sherwani, the bride Nin made her grand entrance in a subtle lehenga in a doli amid the procession led by Kandiyan dancers. The pandit was also flown from Mumbai especially for the purpose. With a wedding as romantic as this one, it seems it was definitely worth the wait. The ‘Grand Masti’ actor and the London-based Nin Dusanj have been dating for several years and were reportedly engaged in 2012.
After facing constant obstacles during the shoot of 'Padmavati', reportedly the film has hit another major road block. As per reports, the Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh starrer has been unduly postponed and will now release in April next year instead of the slated November 17 release.
A trade source close to a leading online portal spoke absolutely it the postponement and said, "Padmavati has been postponed from November 17 to April next year. April is a good month as both the Baahubalis had released then. The school holidays start and Padmavati is a Rs.150 crore (approx) film so it will need a prolonged holiday to recover the cost and the fact is, in November there are no holidays. Also the post-production of the film will take months. There are various battle scenes which need a lot of VFX and that's the major reason the film has been postponed. The second reason is, that some major portions of the film are still to be shot on the principal actors, including Shahid, Ranveer, Deepika and Sanjay Dutt's entire portion. Dutt plays Ranveer's (Alauddin Khalji) father in the film."
The source further added, "Of course, the co-producer of 'Padmavati', Viacom 18, has earlier refuted reports of the film getting postponed but till they finalise a new release date they will keep denying. Fans of the stars have been eagerly waiting for the Padmavati trailer to come but no announcement has been made on it yet. It looks doubtful whether the film will be complete by October."
However, an insider from Sanjay Leela Bhansali's production house refuted the reports. The insider source said, "It's not true. We want to know who is spreading these rumours of the film getting postponed! It's been happening for over month now. The rumour started because of the FWICE strike as the shooting got a bit delayed. Only some minor patchwork remains to be shot with Ranveer, Deepika and Shahid and everything including VFX and editing is happening simultaneously. The film is racing towards its release date."
Salman Khan in collaboration with Karan Johar was all set to produce a film starring Akshay Kumar. The three took to the social media to announce the project and the audience too was excited about Salman, Karan and Akshay joining hands. However, the film they collaborated on was based on the 'Battle of Saragarhi', a subject that Ajay Devgn had earlier announce that he will be making a film on.
While Salman didn't know about Ajay's plans of making a film on 'Battle of Saragarhi', as soon as the actor was informed, he opted out of the project. There were rumours about a fallout between Salman and Ajay over the same, however, refuting the possibility of a tiff, Salman quietly stepped out of the project so that he doesn't get caught between Ajay and Karan.
After Salman opted out, rumours were rife that the film will now be shelved. However, a source close to a leading daily reveals that the film is still very much in the pipeline. Talking to a leading daily, the insider said, "The film is now titled 'Kesar', which means saffron."
There were further speculations about a link between the title of the film and the colour of the ruling party BJP since Akshay's last outing 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha' too threw light on the Government's 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan'. "The film has nothing to do with the BJP. Kesar stands for many things. It's also a name. There is also a TV serial by the same name," added the source as he denied the possibility of a link.
