As the Jharkhand Assembly elections draw near, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has voiced strong confidence that the party will secure a two-third majority in the upcoming polls.

In his recent remarks, Dubey highlighted demographic changes in the state, noting a decline in the tribal population from 45% to approximately 27-28%. He predicted that by the next census, this figure could drop further to around 22%. Conversely, he pointed out a significant increase in the Muslim population in Jharkhand, which he claimed has risen by 15-16% compared to a 4% increase nationwide.

Dubey described these demographic shifts as concerning, asserting that many of the new Muslim residents are "Bangladeshi infiltrators." He pledged that the BJP would take action to address this, including the implementation of the National Register of Citizens (NRC), aimed at identifying and removing illegal immigrants.

Additionally, he promised to restore land to the tribal communities that he claimed had been appropriated by Muslims, reinforcing the party's commitment to tribal rights and interests.

As the election campaign heats up, the BJP's focus on demographics and land rights is expected to shape the party's messaging and strategy in Jharkhand, a state with a significant tribal population and diverse political landscape.
