BJP Criticizes AAP Over Allegations of Political Manipulation in Delhi

BJP National Spokesperson C.R. Kesavan recently took aim at the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and its leader Atishi during a press briefing, drawing parallels to the character Bharat from the Ramayana. Kesavan criticized Atishi for comparing herself to Bharat, who is known for renouncing his claim to the throne during Lord Ram's exile, while suggesting that she is clinging to power instead.

"When taking over as Delhi Chief Minister, Atishi ji compared herself to Bharat, who abandoned the Royal Palace of Ayodhya for 14 years to support Lord Ram. However, unlike Bharat, she leaves an empty chair for Arvind Kejriwal, who refuses to vacate the infamous Sheesh Mahal," Kesavan stated. He accused the AAP of being "seasoned charlatans" and "hardened fraudsters" who disguise their intentions while claiming to uphold virtuous principles.

Kesavan further criticized the AAP's handling of government housing allotments, questioning why the party appeared "nervous" about the inspection and inventory processes required before transitioning house occupants. "There is a proper procedure for house allotments that includes thorough inspections and inventory checks. Why is the AAP so rattled by this? What are they afraid will be discovered?" he asked.

The remarks come amid ongoing political tensions in Delhi, as the BJP seeks to portray the AAP as incompetent and insincere. Kesavan's statements reflect a broader strategy to challenge AAP's governance while rallying support among constituents who may be disillusioned with the party's leadership.

As the political landscape in Delhi continues to evolve, the BJP's criticisms could further intensify the scrutiny on AAP's practices and leadership, setting the stage for a contentious electoral battle in the future.
