BJP leader Shazia Ilmi has called for urgent accountability following reports of 27 deaths at the Asha Kiran shelter home in Delhi. In a recent statement, Ilmi expressed grave concerns about the tragic incident, highlighting the fact that all the deceased were mentally challenged individuals.

"Reports indicate that 27 deaths have occurred at the Asha Kiran shelter home, and all those who have died were mentally challenged," Ilmi said. "This is a serious incident that demands immediate attention and accountability. The question is, who is responsible for this tragedy?"

Ilmi criticized the INDIA alliance, a coalition of opposition parties, for its perceived silence on the issue. "The INDIA alliance seems more interested in politics than addressing this pressing matter," she remarked. "They have ample time to engage in political activities but no time to speak on this critical issue."

Further intensifying her criticism, Ilmi called for the resignation of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. "It is time for Arvind Kejriwal to resign," she said. "The Delhi government must be held accountable for this grave lapse in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals."

The deaths at Asha Kiran shelter home have prompted widespread concern and scrutiny. The shelter, which caters to mentally challenged individuals, is now under intense examination as officials and advocacy groups seek to understand the circumstances that led to these fatalities.

The incident has sparked a broader debate about the effectiveness and oversight of care facilities for vulnerable populations in Delhi. As political leaders demand accountability, the focus remains on ensuring that such tragedies are prevented in the future and that those responsible are held accountable.
