BJP MP Deepak Prakash has strongly responded to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s criticism of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the 11th anniversary of BJP’s rule at the Centre, calling the period a “golden age” in contrast to what he described as Congress’s “dark chapters.”

“Mallikarjun Kharge should take a look at his own party's tenure,” Prakash said. “Congress handed over India’s land to China, gave POK to Pakistan, returned 93,000 Pakistani soldiers unconditionally, and internationalized the Kashmir issue by taking it to the UN.”

Accusing the Congress of weakening the nation, he added, “The party worked to worsen the country’s economic situation and turned India into a corrupt country. If you study the dark chapters of its reign, you will understand why 11 years of PM Modi’s leadership is a golden age.”

The remarks come amid a heated exchange between the BJP and Congress as PM Modi completes 11 years in power, with both parties trading claims over national progress and historical accountability.
