Delhi, amidst the onset of monsoon, faces severe waterlogging issues, prompting BJP MP Manoj Tiwari to accuse the Delhi government of negligence in addressing the problem. Tiwari expressed frustration over what he described as the government's failure to clean drains despite repeated attempts to draw attention to the issue over the past two months.

In his statement, Tiwari stated, "From the past two months, we tried to direct the attention of the Delhi government towards cleaning the drains...But the government didn't pay any attention towards it...All the drains are clogged...This is an example of incompetence."

The remarks by the BJP MP highlight ongoing challenges faced by residents due to waterlogging, particularly during the monsoon season. Tiwari's criticism underscores the need for effective drainage maintenance to mitigate urban flooding and ensure public safety.

The Delhi government, led by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), has been urged to take immediate action to address the drainage issues plaguing various parts of the national capital. As waterlogging persists and affects daily life, stakeholders emphasize the importance of proactive measures to enhance infrastructure resilience and response mechanisms.

With monsoon showers intensifying, the situation demands swift and decisive steps from authorities to alleviate the hardships faced by Delhiites. The effectiveness of future drainage maintenance efforts will be closely scrutinized as Delhi continues to grapple with seasonal challenges.
