BJP MP Nishikant Dubey Slams Tariq Hamid Karra Over Call for Talks with Pakistan

  • April 28, 2025, 4:37 p.m.

BJP MP Nishikant Dubey sharply criticized Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President Tariq Hamid Karra over his reported statement suggesting that India should hold talks with Pakistan. Reacting strongly, Dubey said, "Unko aarti utaarni chahiye... Pakistanis will kill our people, and we will perform their aarti?"

Dubey expressed anger over the suggestion of dialogue, especially in the wake of the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam that claimed innocent lives. He questioned the logic behind engaging in talks with a nation that, according to him, continues to sponsor terrorism against India.

The BJP leader emphasized that at a time when the country is mourning and demanding strict action, calls for negotiation send a wrong message both internally and internationally. He reiterated that the Modi government is committed to a zero-tolerance policy against terrorism and will respond firmly to any such attacks.

Dubey’s remarks reflect the growing political tension following the Pahalgam incident, with the BJP accusing sections of the Congress party of weakening India's stand against terrorism.
