BJP MP Praveen Khandelwal Criticizes AAP's Handling of Old Rajinder Nagar Incident

Delhi — In response to the recent incident in Old Rajinder Nagar, BJP Member of Parliament Praveen Khandelwal has sharply criticized the Delhi government's handling of the situation, placing the blame squarely on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which has governed Delhi for the past nine years. Khandelwal argued that the recurring nature of such incidents highlights the inadequacy of the AAP's solutions.

Speaking to reporters, Khandelwal emphasized that the issue is not merely about assigning blame but addressing a persistent problem. "Incidents like this happen every year, but AAP has found no concrete solution to tackle this issue," Khandelwal said. His comments come in the wake of a recent incident in Old Rajinder Nagar, which has once again brought to light concerns over the effectiveness of the local governance in handling such issues.

The BJP MP pointed out that the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), which falls under AAP's jurisdiction, has been ineffective in preventing these problems despite being in power for nearly a decade. "Those officers who are responsible for it must be severely punished to avoid repetition of such incidents in the future," Khandelwal asserted, calling for stringent measures against those found accountable.

Khandelwal criticized the recent actions taken by the Delhi government, including the sealing of several coaching institutes in the area, arguing that such measures are insufficient. "Mere sealing a few coaching institutes won't help have a long-term solution," he stated, suggesting that a more comprehensive and sustainable approach is needed to address the underlying issues.

The Old Rajinder Nagar incident has once again sparked a debate over the effectiveness of the current administration in managing local affairs and ensuring public safety. As tensions rise, the need for a thorough and lasting solution has become increasingly apparent, with Khandelwal's comments adding fuel to the ongoing discourse surrounding Delhi's governance and administrative efficiency.
