BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad strongly criticized certain opposition leaders over their remarks following the Pahalgam terror attack. Speaking to the media, Prasad questioned the intent behind statements made by Congress leaders, saying, "What is the purpose of some statements made by certain Congress leaders?"

Prasad specifically targeted Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for suggesting that "war is not inevitable," highlighting how such comments are being broadcast by Pakistani media to suit their narrative. He also condemned Karnataka Minister RB Timmapur and Maharashtra's Leader of Opposition Vijay Wadettiwar for their insensitive remarks that "terrorists did not ask about religion before shooting."

Calling the comments "shameful" and "the height of insensitivity," Prasad pointed out that while the bereaved families are narrating the reality of the targeted attack, some political leaders are undermining their pain through irresponsible statements.

He emphasized that at a time when national unity is crucial, such remarks from opposition leaders only serve to weaken India's position and embolden its enemies. Prasad reiterated that the nation must stand firm and united against terrorism.
