BJP Spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla Criticizes Tamil Nadu’s Law and Order Situation Amid Recent Murders

Delhi — BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla has sharply criticized the Tamil Nadu government’s handling of law and order, citing a recent spate of violent incidents in the state. Poonawalla's comments come in the wake of several high-profile murders, which he claims reflect a significant breakdown in governance.

In a statement issued earlier today, Poonawalla expressed grave concern over the deteriorating security situation in Tamil Nadu. He highlighted the brutal hacking of BSP leader K. Armstrong, a Dalit leader, which occurred at the beginning of July. According to Poonawalla, this incident was just the beginning of a troubling pattern.

“Law & order situation in Tamil Nadu is going from bad to worse,” Poonawalla asserted. “In the last three days, we have seen three consecutive hacking and political murders—one involving a BJP member, another from AIDMK, and yet another from Congress. This indicates that law and order are completely out of the control of Chief Minister MK Stalin.”

Poonawalla’s remarks underscore a series of violent incidents that have plagued Tamil Nadu recently. He criticized the state government’s response, alleging that it has failed to address the rising violence effectively. “This shows that MK Stalin’s administration is unable to maintain order and security in the state,” he added.

The BJP spokesperson also took aim at national political figures, accusing Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party of avoiding the issue. “There is no time for Rahul Gandhi or the Congress party to take a stand on it,” Poonawalla said. He argued that the INDI alliance, a coalition including Congress, has not addressed the situation, accusing them of being evasive and insincere.

“This shows their two-faced agenda, their double face, and their cowardice to speak about the issue that is inconvenient for them,” Poonawalla continued. His comments reflect a broader criticism from the BJP regarding the opposition's perceived reluctance to confront challenging issues in Tamil Nadu.

As Tamil Nadu grapples with these violent incidents, the debate over the state’s law and order situation continues to intensify, with political leaders and parties facing scrutiny over their responses and responsibilities.
