West Bengal BJP President and Union Minister Sukanta Majumdar held an informal meeting with all BJP Members of Parliament (MPs) from West Bengal and the Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the state assembly to discuss the party’s strategies for the upcoming 2026 West Bengal Assembly elections.

Speaking about the meeting, Majumdar stated, "We had an informal meeting in the presence of all MPs from West Bengal and our state assembly LoP. We discussed everyone's opinion on what strategies we need to adopt for the upcoming assembly elections in 2026."

The discussions focused on shaping the party's approach in the lead-up to the state elections, with Majumdar emphasizing the importance of gathering input from all key party members to formulate a unified and effective strategy. The meeting reflected the BJP's commitment to strengthening its position in West Bengal, a state that has witnessed significant political dynamics in recent years.

Majumdar's comments suggest that the party is taking proactive steps to prepare for the election, likely with a focus on addressing local issues and strengthening its organizational structure across the state. The 2026 West Bengal Assembly elections will be a crucial test for the BJP as it aims to challenge the dominance of the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) and increase its presence in the state legislature.

This meeting serves as a clear signal that the BJP is gearing up for the elections and aims to present a well-thought-out plan to voters in the coming years.
