The Ranveer Singh fronted Jayeshbhai Jordaar is proving to be a disaster of epic proportions as the movie has dropped by nearly 50% on Day 4, Monday. According to early estimates, this YRF film has collected in the range of Rs. 1.60 to 1.80 crores to take the total collections to Rs. 13.70 crores.
The drop has come across the board and this was more or less expected as the film was not appreciaed by the audience. Infact, it won’t be wrong to say that there was zero interest among the audience to watch this social comedy. The Monday figures indicate that it is going to be a downward trajectory going forward. The drop would have been even worse, but at some places it got little help due to the holiday on account of Budh Purnima. In real terms, if not for holiday, the collections are under 1.50 crore.
The movie will be out of cinema halls by 2nd Friday, as the collections would be in lacs by end of this week. It is a disaster, second consecutive for Ranveer Singh, but the hope is now on him to make a comeback with Rohit Shetty's Cirkus. The film was flat in the opening weekend showing minimal jump on Saturday and Sunday and that in itself downned the curtains for the film. It will end its run under the Rs. 20 crore mark thereby emerging the lowest grossing Ranveer Singh film till date. While all hopes were pinned on content, but the film is a let down on content front too.
