The box office is dominated by Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati's Bheemla Nayak. The film, directed by Saagar K Chandra, is inching closer to the Rs 150 crore mark at the worldwide box office. According to trade reports, Bheemla Nayak has crossed 2 million USD (approx Rs 15 crore) in the USA and is still going strong. With positive reviews, Bheemla Nayak is all set to break new box office records.
Nayak is the official Telugu remake of the Malayalam film, Ayyappanum Koshiyum. While Pawan Kalyan reprised Biju Menon's role, Rana Daggubati stepped into the shoes of Prithviraj Sukumaran in the remake. Ever since its release, Bheemla Nayak's been lapped up by the audience.
According to trade reports, Bheemla Nayak has earned $2 million in the US, thereby registering a sensational opening.
Not just in the Telugu states, Bheemla Nayak is also being received well in Tamil Nadu. Trade analyst Kaushik LM wrote, "#PSPK's #BheemlaNayak opening 3-days total TN gross is 1.12 CR. "Very Good Opening on limited screens (sic)."
Trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan wrote that the film has collected Rs 128.38 crore in three days. After Pushpa, Bheemla Nayak convinced the audience to visit the theatres to experience the magic on the big screens.
Saagar K. Chandra, is based on the story written by the late filmmaker Sachy. Trivikram Srinivas penned the screenplay for the Telugu version and made some effective changes to suit the taste of the audience.
Apart from Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati, Bheemla Nayak also features Nithya Menen, Samyukta Menon, and Samuthirakani in important roles. SS Thaman's pulsating music enhanced the mood of the Bheemla Nayak.
