Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Leads DefConnect Seminar in Delhi

New Delhi - In a significant move towards promoting indigenisation in the defence sector, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Chief of Defence Staff Gen Anil Chauhan, Air Chief Marshal Vivek R Chaudhari, and Defence Secretary Giridhar Aramane convened at the DefConnect Seminar in Delhi.

The seminar, aimed at fostering innovation and technology development in defence, saw the participation of key figures from the Indian defence sector. The focus of the seminar was to discuss and strategize on how to enhance the domestic capabilities of the Indian defence industry.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, leading the seminar, emphasized the importance of indigenisation in the defence sector. He highlighted the need for the Indian defence industry to be self-reliant and technologically advanced.

Chief of Defence Staff Gen Anil Chauhan echoed the sentiment, stressing the importance of home-grown technology in strengthening the country’s defence capabilities. He also underscored the role of innovation in achieving this goal.

Air Chief Marshal Vivek R Chaudhari discussed the role of the Indian Air Force in promoting indigenisation. He highlighted the various initiatives undertaken by the Air Force to encourage domestic production and use of defence equipment.

Defence Secretary Giridhar Aramane, on his part, outlined the government’s plans and policies aimed at promoting indigenisation in the defence sector. He assured that the government is committed to providing all necessary support to the domestic defence industry.

The DefConnect Seminar served as a platform for these leaders to share their vision for a self-reliant Indian defence sector. It is expected that the insights and strategies discussed during the seminar will guide the future course of action in achieving this goal.
