Delhi BJP President Calls for Kejriwal's Resignation Following High Court Ruling

The Delhi High Court's recent dismissal of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's plea challenging his arrest by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has sparked a strong response from local BJP leadership. Delhi BJP President Virendraa Sachdeva has welcomed the court's decision and reiterated calls for Kejriwal’s resignation.

Sachdeva labeled Kejriwal as the "facilitator" of the alleged Delhi Excise Policy scam, a case that has been under intense scrutiny. He expressed satisfaction with the High Court’s ruling, which upheld the legality of Kejriwal’s arrest and validated the CBI's grounds for detaining him. The case involves accusations of financial misconduct related to the Delhi government's excise policy.

"We welcome the verdict of the Delhi High Court," Sachdeva stated. "Arvind Kejriwal's involvement in the Excise Policy scam has been a serious concern. We hope that all those accused in this scandal will face justice and that the judicial process will ensure they are held accountable."

Sachdeva's comments reflect a broader political sentiment among BJP leaders who view the court's decision as a validation of their claims against Kejriwal. He further demanded Kejriwal's resignation, arguing that, given the court's affirmation of the arrest's legality and the seriousness of the charges, Kejriwal no longer has the moral authority to continue serving as Delhi's Chief Minister.

The dismissal of Kejriwal's plea marks a significant development in the ongoing legal and political drama surrounding the Excise Policy case. As the situation evolves, the political discourse is likely to remain focused on accountability and governance, with both the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the opposition BJP preparing for the next steps in the unfolding saga.
