Dense fog in Delhi causes numerous domestic and international flights to be delayed.

New Delhi: Today's heavy fog in Delhi has caused sixteen planes to be delayed. 11 international and 5 domestic flights have been delayed, according to officials, as a result of the increased fog and temperature dip that has affected large portions of north India, including Delhi.
According to the Met Office, Palam, which is close to the airport, had a minimum temperature of 14 degrees Celsius.

Many were observed seeking shelter at the AIIMS night shelter in south Delhi amid the bitter cold, said to news agency ANI. Similar scenes of homeless persons holed up at night shelters on Lodhi Road neighborhood under thick blankets and quilts were observed elsewhere.

Delhi's air quality index (AQI) fell into the "severe" category, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

The national capital's AQI, which falls under the "severe" category, was 447.

An AQI of 0–50 is regarded as "good," 51–100 as "satisfactory," 101–200 as "moderate," 201–300 as "poor," 301–400 as "very poor," 401–450 as "severe," and 450 and above as "severe-plus."
