Vaishnaw highlighted how this has opened up vast opportunities for the youth, even in small villages, to participate in the global digital economy.

Speaking ahead of the World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES 2025), which will be held from May 1 to May 4 in Mumbai, Vaishnaw stated, "A very strong creator economy is forming in the country because Digital India has brought digital technologies to every corner of the country. Due to this, youth in even the smallest of villages are receiving opportunities." He noted that the growing digital ecosystem is not only empowering creators but is also positioning India as a hub for global investments in creative industries.

The WAVES 2025 summit is expected to attract investors from around the world, eager to tap into India’s flourishing creative economy. "To further that opportunity, that creator economy, that idea in a structured way, WAVES will be held from May 1 to May 4 in Mumbai," Vaishnaw added, emphasizing the importance of such platforms in fostering growth and collaboration in the entertainment, media, and creative sectors.

Vaishnaw's remarks underline the significant strides India is making in the digital and creative sectors, with the government’s initiatives playing a key role in making the country an attractive destination for global investors looking to engage with India's rapidly evolving media and entertainment landscape.
