Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri Meets US Officials to Deepen Defence & Tech Ties

New Delhi: India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri held high-level meetings with senior officials in Washington, D.C. to strengthen strategic ties between India and United States, with a strong focus on defence, technology, and economic cooperation. During the visit, discussions covered expanding defence industrial collaboration, enhancing military interoperability, and boosting cooperation in critical and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and secure supply chains.

Both sides also explored ways to deepen bilateral trade and address global security challenges, particularly in the Indo-Pacific and West Asia regions. The meetings are seen as a significant step in reinforcing the India–US strategic partnership, and they pave the way for upcoming high-level engagements, including a planned visit by Marco Rubio to India, further accelerating diplomatic and economic collaboration between the two countries.
