A man was thrashed and stabbed to death by three men after he refused to part with his beer bottles in northwest Delhi’s Adarsh Nagar.

All the accused were arrested on Wednesday. They were identified as Ankit Kumar (21), Brijesh Mathur (20), and Himanshu Kumar (19).

DCP (northwest) Usha Rangnani said that on May 29, they received a PCR call about the incident. "The victim, Durgesh Shukla (22), was lying in a pool of blood near Vardhman Mall. He was declared dead at the hospital, "the DCP said."

An initial police probe revealed that the accused were roaming on GT Road under the influence of alcohol. "At about 10.45 pm, they saw Durgesh coming from the mall side, and he was carrying a plastic bag containing beer bottles. They asked him to give them the bottles. When he refused, he was stabbed, "said the officer.
