Chandrayaan 3, ISRO's recent lunar mission, has been hailed as a major milestone in India’s space exploration efforts. Its successful landing on the Moon showcased India’s advancing technological capabilities and its growing presence in the global space arena. “Chandrayaan 3 is a testament to our technological prowess and commitment to space exploration. But today is also about looking forward,” Somanath added.

The ISRO Chairman elaborated on the organization’s future goals, which include expanding the economy, advancing technology, and exploring new frontiers in space. “Our vision for the next 25 years is to broaden the horizons of our space program. We aim to drive economic growth through space technology, enhance our technological capabilities, and venture into uncharted territories of space,” he said.

Somanath emphasized the role of National Space Day as an inspirational moment for young people, students, and researchers. “We see this day as a call to action for the next generation to engage with and contribute to the space sector. It is an opportunity for aspiring scientists and engineers to be part of a transformative journey that will shape the future of our nation and the world,” he stated.

The event also featured discussions on the potential impacts of space technology on various sectors, including telecommunications, navigation, and scientific research. ISRO's ongoing and future missions were showcased, reflecting the organization’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of space exploration and fostering innovation.

As India embarks on this new chapter in its space program, National Space Day stands as a pivotal moment in galvanizing interest and support for the country’s space ambitions.
