Leaders Across Party Lines Pay Tribute to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on Jayanti at Parliament’s Prerna Sthal

On the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti, top political leaders from across the spectrum gathered at Prerna Sthal in the Parliament premises on Sunday to pay homage to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla led the solemn ceremony, joined by Union Minister and BJP President JP Nadda, Congress stalwart and former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, and newly appointed Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. Other senior leaders and parliamentarians were also present.

The leaders offered floral tributes at Dr. Ambedkar’s statue and remembered his enduring contributions to social justice, equality, and the democratic fabric of the nation.

“Babasaheb’s vision of an inclusive India continues to guide our policies and aspirations,” said JP Nadda, while Rahul Gandhi remarked that Ambedkar’s legacy is a constant reminder of the need to uphold constitutional values and protect the rights of every citizen.

Speaker Om Birla emphasized Ambedkar’s pivotal role in shaping modern India and called on lawmakers to rededicate themselves to his ideals.

Ambedkar Jayanti, celebrated on April 14 every year, marks the birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and is observed nationwide to honor his contributions as a social reformer, jurist, and the principal drafter of the Indian Constitution.
