The ruling states that the ban on diesel four-wheelers will be enforced in Delhi and the NCR areas that border the city, with the exception of BS-VI vehicles and those needed for essential and emergency services.
The bench, which also included Justice S Ravindra Bhat and Justice Bela M Trivedi, earlier agreed to hear the plea at 12.45 p.m.
According to sources, the minister complained about the existence of strict security measures, which he felt intimidated the patients, and thus led to the decision.
