Wheat prices had dropped by around 8% after the government prohibited exports and smaller traders liquidated their holdings. Prices have recently risen to at Rs 2,250-2,300 per quintal, which is around 5% more than the minimum support price (MSP).

In Delhi, a 19-year-old teenage boy who worked as a delivery boy for Zepto was killed in a hit-and-run accident. Zepto claimed it had covered the victim's treatment and funeral costs, as well as providing financial assistance to the victim's relatives.
