Rau handed the 12-year-old her own fading India cap at the end of that session, during which the U-19 opener spent joyfully and gracefully cover-driving a senior offspinner.

The ICC has rated the Bengaluru pitch, where India faced Sri Lanka in the second Test, as "below ordinary."
