On Monday, cities throughout the country kickestarted the COVID vaccination for young adults and the elderly between 15 and 18 years of age. The Union Health Ministry had announced that Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin might be administered to eligible children in doses 28 days apart.
Meanwhile, India on Monday reported 33,750 fresh COVID-19 instances and 123 deaths. With 10,846 recoveries, the US of A’s lively caseload stood at 1,44,558.
According to the Union Ministry of Health, the Omicron tally within the country has reached 1, seven hundred, of which 639 have recovered or been discharged. Maharashtra topped the count with 510 Omicron instances, followed by Delhi with 351 instances.
With COVID cases growing, containment zones increased and nation governments considered new curbs, even at the same time as instances of great disease remained low. Gaurika Rawat, 16, took her first shot at a vaccination centre at RK Puram today. "I became scared to take it, but it did not harm me at all. My circle of relatives said I must take it on the first day. Maybe we will exit extra without difficulty now."
