Manjinder Singh Sirsa Slams AAP, Says 'They Are Our Kaala Teeka'; Assures Women Will Get Benefits Under Mahila Sammaan Yojana

Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa launched a scathing attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and its leader Arvind Kejriwal, claiming that even AAP members acknowledge the BJP's work in Delhi.

“Arvind Kejriwal ran away from here, and his party members came to us and said — You have worked for Delhi, we only used to fight among ourselves,” Sirsa said. Drawing a sharp analogy, he added, “In weddings, we put a kaala teeka on the bride to keep her away from evil eyes. They (AAP) are our kaala teeka.”

Sirsa also addressed the Mahila Sammaan Yojana, a welfare initiative for women. He assured that the program is progressing steadily, distancing it from previous unfulfilled promises made by the AAP government.

“Our committee is working on it. This is not Kejriwal's ₹1000 scheme, which no one ever got. The women of Delhi are going to get their money soon,” he said.

The comments come amid a rising political face-off between the BJP and AAP ahead of major civic and national developments.
