In a recent briefing, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal addressed questions regarding the current state of India-China relations. Jaiswal’s comments followed ongoing inquiries into the progress of diplomatic talks and bilateral relations between the two countries.

“On India-China relations, External Affairs Minister (EAM) has spoken about it on several occasions, including recently in Berlin and here as well,” Jaiswal stated. He reiterated that the government has been transparent about the developments and progress in the bilateral dialogue, particularly through the Working Mechanism for Consultation and Coordination on India-China Border Affairs (WMCC).

Jaiswal emphasized that updates on India-China relations have been regularly communicated to the public through official channels. “We have also been keeping you informed of the developments that have happened in our talks with WMCC in that mechanism,” he noted, indicating that the WMCC serves as a crucial platform for managing and addressing issues related to the border and broader bilateral relations.

The spokesperson’s remarks come amidst ongoing discussions about the evolving dynamics between India and China, particularly in the context of border issues and strategic engagements. The MEA’s focus on maintaining open lines of communication underscores the importance of transparency and ongoing diplomatic efforts in managing the relationship between the two neighboring nations.

As both countries navigate their complex relationship, the government’s commitment to addressing concerns through established mechanisms like the WMCC remains a key element in their diplomatic strategy.
