New Delhi - Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced the resumption of his monthly radio broadcast, 'Mann Ki Baat', which is scheduled to return on June 30. The announcement comes after a hiatus due to the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

In a statement, PM Modi encouraged citizens to actively participate in the programme by sharing their ideas and inputs. "Delighted to share that after a gap of some months due to the elections, #MannKiBaat is back! This month's programme will take place on Sunday, 30th June. I call upon all of you to share your ideas and inputs for the same. Write on the MyGov Open Forum, NaMo App, or record your message on 1800 11 7800," PM Modi expressed in a social media post.

The 'Mann Ki Baat' broadcast, which was last aired on February 25, had been temporarily suspended to comply with the Election Commission's guidelines during the Lok Sabha elections. "Mann Ki Baat will not be broadcast for the next three months in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls," PM Modi had previously announced during the 110th edition of the programme.

The 2024 Lok Sabha elections, conducted from April 19 to June 1 in seven phases across the country, concluded with the announcement of results on June 4, marking the commencement of the 18th Lok Sabha.

'Mann Ki Baat' is a platform initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 3, 2014, aimed at fostering a direct connection with citizens across India. Through this programme, PM Modi addresses a wide range of national themes and issues, engaging with diverse segments of Indian society including women, elderly citizens, and youth.

The return of 'Mann Ki Baat' signifies a renewed opportunity for citizens to participate in shaping national discourse and contributing their perspectives on various socio-economic and cultural topics. The resumption of the programme underscores PM Modi's commitment to dialogue and engagement with the people of India, fostering a participatory approach in governance and policymaking.
