Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal emphasized the crucial role of women in shaping society, citing President Droupadi Murmu’s address at a special International Women's Day program held at Vigyan Bhavan.

Speaking about the event, Meghwal stated, "It was a very well-organized program. President Murmu rightly pointed out that a mother is the first teacher of a child and plays a fundamental role in character building."

The event, attended by women leaders, social activists, and policymakers, focused on women-led development, recognizing their contributions in education, governance, entrepreneurship, and social welfare.

President Murmu’s speech underscored the importance of empowering women, not just as professionals but as pillars of strong families and ethical society. She stressed that mothers, as the first educators, influence future generations and contribute to nation-building through values and education.

The program also featured discussions on women’s safety, education, entrepreneurship, and leadership, reinforcing the government’s commitment to gender equality and the continued upliftment of women across all sectors.
