Delhi: Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has paid tribute to the soldiers who lost their lives in the Kargil War on its 25th anniversary, acknowledging their bravery and sacrifice. In a heartfelt statement made in Delhi, Sharma emphasized the significance of honoring those who fought valiantly to defend the nation.

“I bow down in front of the Bravehearts of the Kargil war on its 25th anniversary, who sacrificed themselves for their motherland,” Sharma stated, commemorating the valor of the Indian soldiers who played a crucial role in the conflict.

In a move to support and integrate veterans into civilian life, Sharma announced a new initiative under the Agniveer scheme, which was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Rajasthan government has decided to offer reservations for Agniveers in key state government positions. Specifically, these reservations will apply to roles in the police department, as well as positions such as prison guards and forest guards.

This initiative aims to provide Agniveers with enhanced opportunities for employment within the state’s public sector. By offering reservations in these critical areas, the Rajasthan government seeks to recognize the service of Agniveers and facilitate their transition to civilian careers.

Sharma’s announcement aligns with the national effort to integrate former military personnel into various sectors of public service, reflecting a commitment to supporting their continued contributions to society. The move is expected to bolster career prospects for Agniveers and reinforce the state’s dedication to honoring military service.
