Delhi - A ‘Smriti Sabha’ was held in Delhi to pay tribute to the late Sushil Kumar Modi, the former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar. The event saw the presence of several prominent figures, including BJP National President JP Nadda.

Nadda, in his address, highlighted Modi’s dedication and commitment to public service. He reminisced about the time when the emergency was lifted in 1977, a period that saw many young leaders stepping into the roles of MLAs or MPs. However, Modi chose a different path.

“Sushil Ji was above all of this,” Nadda said. “He expressed his desire to work in student life and he did that for a very long time. This was his commitment to the cause.”

Modi’s dedication to learning and knowledge was also a focal point of Nadda’s speech. He referred to Modi as a walking ‘reference book’ who had a wealth of knowledge on any subject. His untimely departure has left a void in the political landscape.

“He left us untimely. This was not his time to go,” Nadda added, expressing the collective sentiment of loss.

The ‘Smriti Sabha’ served as a platform to remember and honor the late Sushil Kumar Modi, a leader whose commitment to public service and thirst for knowledge continue to inspire many.
