BJP leader Smriti Irani made strong statements during the party’s membership drive in Delhi, focusing on the party’s dedication to helping those in need and criticizing the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for alleged failures.

At the event, Irani spoke about several women from the Sundar Nagri slums who came to the BJP membership drive with urgent concerns. They claimed that their homes were demolished by AAP officials, who had promised to relocate them but failed to follow through on that promise. “Today, poor women from Sundar Nagri approached us, saying their homes were destroyed by the AAP after being assured they would be rehoused elsewhere,” Irani explained.

She emphasized that such incidents highlight the BJP’s commitment to supporting the underprivileged. “People join the BJP not just for political reasons, but to genuinely help those who are struggling. It is a fundamental part of what we stand for,” Irani said.

Irani’s comments aimed to underscore the BJP’s role in addressing the problems faced by the poor and to draw attention to the perceived shortcomings of the AAP government. By highlighting the alleged issues faced by these women, Irani hoped to demonstrate the BJP’s dedication to social justice and welfare.

The BJP membership drive is not just about increasing party numbers, but also about connecting with citizens and addressing their concerns. Irani’s remarks reflect the party’s ongoing efforts to engage with the public and show its commitment to making a difference in the lives of those affected by government policies and decisions.
