Marking the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti, key political leaders participated in the launch of two significant train services aimed at enhancing rail connectivity in northern India.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla attended the inaugural ceremony of a special train between Kota and Delhi at the Kota Railway Station. Speaking at the event, Birla emphasized the importance of improved rail connectivity for regional development and passenger convenience. “This new service will provide a vital link between educational and administrative hubs, easing travel for thousands,” he said.

Simultaneously, Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw virtually flagged off a new train connecting Dr Ambedkar Nagar (Mhow) to New Delhi via video conferencing. The launch reflects the government’s continued focus on expanding and modernizing the railway network, especially on symbolic days like Ambedkar Jayanti.

“These new services are a tribute to Babasaheb Ambedkar’s legacy, connecting his birthplace to the national capital and enhancing infrastructure for the people,” said Vaishnaw during his address.

The twin inaugurations highlight the Indian Railways' ongoing commitment to improving nationwide connectivity and honoring national icons through meaningful initiatives.
