The Unfolding Drama: AAP, Swati Maliwal, and the Alleged Assault

In a recent political development, BJP leader Shehzad Poonawalla has voiced his concerns over the alleged assault on Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal. Poonawalla’s comments have brought to light a series of events that he describes as ‘Duraachar’ (misconduct), ‘Dushprachaar’ (propaganda and character shaming), and ‘Atyaachar’ (oppression), painting a grim picture of the internal dynamics of AAP.

Poonawalla has questioned the silence of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who has been notably quiet for 14 days since the incident. The alleged assault took place at the Chief Minister’s residence, in the presence of the Chief Minister himself. This incident was confirmed by AAP MP Sanjay Singh.

Adding to the controversy, Poonawalla highlighted the role of online trolls in this incident. He pointed out that these trolls are not only shaming Maliwal but are also issuing her death threats and rape threats. He urged the Delhi Police to take cognizance of these threats.

Poonawalla also criticized the silence of the entire INDI alliance, including Priyanka Vadra. He questioned their lack of response to the incident, which involves a woman MP from their allied party.

This incident has raised serious questions about the internal workings of AAP and the safety of women in politics. It underscores the need for a thorough and impartial investigation into the matter, and for appropriate action to be taken against those found guilty. It also highlights the importance of creating a safe and respectful environment for all individuals in the political sphere, regardless of their party affiliation. The silence of key political figures and alliances on this issue is concerning, and it is hoped that they will soon break their silence and take a stand against such alleged misconduct.
