In a significant political development, Virat Kant has officially joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), prompting strong reactions from party leadership. Welcoming him, BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh called the move a “masterstroke” and a proud moment for the party.

“This is a masterstroke. His late grandfather contributed to the independence movement and also served as the Vice President of India,” said Chugh. “Now, his grandson joining the BJP is a big milestone.”

Chugh emphasized that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s pro-poor initiatives and developmental vision continue to attract people from all walks of life. “By seeing the work of PM Modi towards the poor and their vision, people from across the nation are joining the BJP,” he added.

The induction of Virat Kant is being seen as a symbolic and strategic win for the BJP ahead of upcoming political campaigns.
