New Delhi: Union Minister for Cooperation Amit Shah will launch the new auction portal of the National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (NAFED) in New Delhi today. This portal represents a significant initiative aimed at making the auction process more transparent, effective, and accessible. It will provide farmers, member organizations, and other stakeholders with a modern digital platform for auction-related activities. Additionally, it will help streamline NAFED’s operations and enhance its efficiency.
According to the Ministry of Cooperation, Union Minister for Cooperation Amit Shah will also launch several significant digital and farmer-friendly initiatives by NAFED on this occasion. These include the NAFED-Kalyan Scholarship Scheme for farmers’ children, the DRISHTI portal for the storage and management of pulses and oilseeds, and an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) portal to enhance the operational efficiency of the organization.
Following the event, Union Minister for Cooperation Amit Shah will chair a meeting of NAFED’s Board of Directors. According to the Ministry of Cooperation, NAFED will make a presentation on its activities and achievements to date during the meeting. Discussions will also cover the progress made in implementing the directives issued during the Union Minister’s previous visit, as well as the organization’s future action plan.
The Ministry stated that these digital and welfare initiatives are part of the government’s efforts to advance Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Sahakar Se Samriddhi’ (Prosperity through Cooperation) and to empower cooperative institutions through technology, transparency, and farmer-centric reforms.
