Vice President Shri CP Radhakrishnan addressed the valedictory ceremony of the Phase-II training for the 2024 batch of IAS Officers Trainees at LBSNAA, Mussoorie.
Congratulating the officers, he stated that the civil services play a pivotal role in the nation’s development and serve as a crucial link in taking policies to the grassroots level.
Shri CP Radhakrishnan urged officials to ensure that the benefits of development reach the last person in line with the goal of ‘Viksit Bharat@2047’ and to adopt “Sevabhav and Kartavyabodh” as their guiding mantra.
He emphasized the importance of teamwork, unity, and the promotion of best practices. He cited the 41% representation of women officers in the 2024 batch as an example of Nari Shakti.
The Vice President urged officials to adopt new technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning and Blockchain to enhance efficiency, transparency, and citizen services. He emphasized the importance of continuous learning, adaptability, character, and integrity. He stated that true leadership is defined by ethical actions, not by power or position.
The Vice-President urged officials to make public service meaningful by reaching the most remote communities, resolving every grievance, and empowering citizens. Several senior dignitaries, including the Governor of Uttarakhand, Shri Ganesh Joshi, and Dr. B. Rajendra, were also present on the occasion.
