The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced ‘Fan Parks’ for the Tata IPL 2026 playoff matches. Matches will be shown on large screens in several cities on May 29th and 31st, 2026. This will allow those unable to travel to the stadiums to enjoy live matches on large screens outside. They will also be able to enjoy the matches with friends in their own cities.
The TATA IPL Fan Parks for the playoff phase will be held in Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh), Ghazipur (Uttar Pradesh), Mangaluru (Karnataka), Agartala (Tripura), and Kakinada (Andhra Pradesh). These cities have been selected to ensure wider fan participation and bring the excitement of the IPL playoffs to different regions across the country.
The BCCI said the fan parks will feature live screening of playoff matches on large high-definition LED screens, along with dedicated zones for crowd viewing, food stalls, merchandise counters, and entertainment activities. The aim is to replicate a stadium-like experience in public spaces and allow fans who do not have access to match tickets to still experience the atmosphere of the IPL playoffs.
Officials stated that the initiative is part of the board’s broader strategy to enhance fan engagement and accessibility during marquee cricket events. The fan parks are expected to attract large crowds, particularly during the Qualifier, Eliminator, and Final matches of the tournament.
The Fan Parks will be operational on May 29 and May 31, 2026, coinciding with key playoff fixtures. The BCCI has said that arrangements are being coordinated with state authorities in all five cities to ensure smooth execution of the events.
Key focus areas include security deployment, crowd management, transport coordination, and emergency response systems at each venue. Local administrations will also oversee permissions and ensure compliance with safety guidelines for public gatherings.
Cricket officials noted that previous editions of IPL fan parks received strong public response, encouraging the expansion of the initiative for the 2026 playoffs. The board believes that such events help bring the tournament closer to fans and enhance the overall reach of the league.
The BCCI stated that details regarding the venues, timings and ticketing for the matches will be released soon, after discussions with the state teams and local authorities are completed in the coming weeks. The IPL 2026 playoff matches are expected to draw large crowds both at stadium venues and Fan Park locations across the country.
