New Delhi: The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, through ‘MY Bharat’, will organize the ‘Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Program’ (VBYCP) in universities and colleges from July 16 to August 15, 2026, under the theme “Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat.” The objective of this nationwide campaign is to connect the youth with the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat@2047’ while simultaneously raising awareness against substance abuse.
The month-long initiative will include interactive sessions, awareness campaigns, presentations, and digital participation via the ‘MY Bharat’ portal to encourage students to adopt a healthy lifestyle and contribute to nation-building.
Under this campaign, prominent young leaders, including State Champions of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD), winners of the Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament, NSS and National Youth Award recipients, and other accomplished youths—will visit educational institutions to interact with students. Their sessions will focus on India’s development journey and the social and personal consequences of substance abuse.
MY Bharat will set up help desks at event venues to enable on-the-spot portal registration and provide students with information about various youth development initiatives. Participants will watch an awareness film on the impact of drug addiction, take a pledge for a ‘Drug-Free India’ (Nasha Mukt Bharat), and Wherever possible, listen to the personal recovery stories of those who have overcome drug addiction.
This program will primarily focus on youth aged 15 to 25 from rural, urban, and tribal communities. Additionally, educational institutions will be encouraged to launch MY Bharat Chapters to sustain youth engagement and support future efforts aimed at fostering a conscious, responsible, and drug-free generation.
