PM Reviews Rs 30,000 Crore Projects, Cyber Crime Cases in 52nd PRAGATI Meeting

Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired the 52nd meeting of ‘PRAGATI’ in New Delhi. ‘PRAGATI’ is an ICT-based platform for pro-active governance and timely project implementation. During the meeting, the Prime Minister reviewed major infrastructure projects worth approximately ₹30,000 crore, assessed the progress made under the ‘TB-Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan’ (TB-Free India Campaign), and discussed grievances related to cybercrime and ‘digital arrest’ fraud. Mr. Modi emphasized the need for robust mechanisms to eliminate TB using AI and to tackle cyber fraud.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister reviewed four key infrastructure projects related to the road, power, industrial corridor, and metro rail sectors. While reviewing these projects which are crucial for economic growth, regional connectivity, industrial development, and public welfare special emphasis was placed on timelines, coordination among various agencies, resolution of issues, and timely completion of work.

The Prime Minister emphasized the use of the ‘PM GatiShakti National Master Plan’ for better planning and timely implementation of infrastructure projects. He also emphasized the need for regular and timely updates on the portal regarding project details, utilities, infrastructure layers, approvals, and other field-level information.

Modi also reviewed the progress of the ‘TB-Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan’ and suggested using artificial intelligence in awareness and community mobilization efforts, as well as involving NCC cadets and ‘MY Bharat’ volunteers.

The Prime Minister expressed concern over rising cyber fraud and emphasized the need for swift, coordinated action by law enforcement agencies, banks, and digital platforms. He stressed the importance of timely grievance redressal, greater public awareness, and the implementation of an ‘e-Zero FIR’ system to ensure rapid action in cybercrime cases. (PIB)
