Weighing in on the recently passed Waqf Amendment Act, Jamal Siddiqui, the National President of the BJP Minority Morcha, said the reform is a significant step towards justice and transparency in the management of Waqf properties.

Speaking to the media, Siddiqui remarked, “The Waqf case was about Allah's property, and Allah got this work done through Prime Minister Narendra Modi.” He claimed that the amendment has been widely welcomed across the country, particularly among the Muslim community.

Highlighting the outreach efforts, Siddiqui added, “We are giving all the correct information to people through the Morcha. Those who are protesting are the same people who have kept their hold on the Waqf properties.”

He emphasized that the new law is aimed at benefitting ordinary Muslims, ensuring that Waqf properties are used for the charitable and religious purposes they were intended for. “Our Muslim brothers and sisters know that they will benefit from the new law,” he asserted.

The Waqf Amendment Act has sparked both praise and protests, with the BJP framing it as a move toward transparency and inclusive development.
