Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw flagged off three new Amrit Bharat Express trains, further expanding India’s modern rail network and improving long-distance connectivity across key regions. The newly inaugurated trains include:

  • Darbhanga – Ajmer (Madar Railway Station)
  • Muzaffarpur – Hyderabad (Charlapalli Railway Station)
  • Chhapra – Delhi (Anand Vihar Terminal)

Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, the Minister highlighted that these trains reflect Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of making Indian Railways a world-class, passenger-friendly network. The Amrit Bharat Express series, known for its modern design, improved safety features, and enhanced passenger amenities, aims to provide affordable, comfortable, and efficient travel for millions of passengers across India.

The launch of these trains is expected to strengthen interstate connectivity, particularly linking the northern and eastern states with key metropolitan and pilgrimage destinations. Vaishnaw emphasized that the government is committed to ensuring faster travel times, energy-efficient operations, and better passenger services, with upgraded seating, improved interiors, and eco-friendly technologies as standard features of the Amrit Bharat fleet.

These additions are part of the broader effort to modernize the Indian Railways and align with the goal of making India’s rail network a driving force for economic growth, regional integration, and sustainable development.
