New Delhi: The Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, in collaboration with AIIMS, New Delhi, organized a blood donation camp on June 16, 2026, at the Recreation Club in Krishi Bhawan, New Delhi. This camp was held to mark ‘World Blood Donor Day 2026’, observed under the theme “One Drop of Humanity: Give Blood, Save Lives.”
The objective of this initiative was to promote voluntary blood donation and raise awareness about the crucial role blood donors play in saving lives and strengthening healthcare systems. Employees from the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, as well as officials and staff from various ministries and departments operating out of Krishi Bhawan, participated in the event with great enthusiasm.
A large number of officers and employees voluntarily donated blood, reflecting their commitment to social responsibility and this noble humanitarian cause. The active participation witnessed at the camp underscored the importance of voluntary blood donation in ensuring the availability of safe blood for patients in need.
The department expressed heartfelt gratitude to all donors for their selfless contributions and commended the dedicated efforts of the AIIMS, New Delhi medical team, with whose cooperation the camp was organized smoothly and successfully.
