Major Electricity Distribution Services Go Live Nationwide on DigiLocker

Date:

Delhi: Under the ‘Digital India’ program, DigiLocker—India’s leading digital document wallet—has successfully onboarded 68 electricity distribution companies (DISCOMs) and electricity departments from across the country.

This major integration enables electricity consumers across 35 states and union territories to securely view their digital electricity bills directly within the DigiLocker app. It offers greater convenience, easy access, and enhanced efficiency in managing essential utility documents. The participating entities include state electricity distribution companies, municipal electricity departments, and private distribution companies that serve millions of consumers nationwide.

With electricity bills available via DigiLocker, customers can access their latest bills digitally whenever they wish. This eliminates the need to sift through emails, keep track of paper copies, or visit the service provider’s office. The facility ensures that customers receive documents issued by their electricity service provider through a secure and reliable platform.

Major government and private utility services are now available on DigiLocker:

  • Dhakshinachal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited
  • Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited
