Global Envoys from 72 Nations Gather in Delhi, Showcasing India’s Growing Global Influence

Ambassadors and High Commissioners from over 70 countries across all continents gathered at the PBG Ground in Delhi, underscoring India’s rising global stature and its strong appeal on key international issues. The high-profile event drew diplomatic representatives from 72 nations, reflecting the world’s acknowledgment of India’s leadership and vision on pressing global challenges.

Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa, addressing the gathering, highlighted the significance of the occasion. “People from 72 countries are gathered here. This shows us a few things—first, the significance of India’s appeal to the world; second, the importance given to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiatives on a global level; and third, that the world believed it was right to join him in his efforts for the environment,” Sirsa said. He expressed gratitude to PM Modi, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, and Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav for their leadership in making such global engagement possible.

The event served as a platform to strengthen international partnerships while promoting collaborative action on critical issues, especially environmental protection and sustainable development. The presence of diplomats from diverse regions highlighted India’s expanding role as a key driver of global diplomacy, climate action, and multilateral cooperation, reinforcing the country’s position as a bridge between developed and developing nations.
