India to Host AI Impact Summit in February 2026, Announces Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced that the AI Impact Summit will be held in February next year, marking India’s turn to host the prestigious global event focused on artificial intelligence and its transformative role across key sectors.

Highlighting the summit’s international journey, Vaishnaw said, “AI Summits first started in Bletchley, UK. It was then organised in Seoul, then in France, and it will now be held in India.”

As part of the preparations, NITI Aayog recently held a conclave showcasing AI-driven initiatives in agriculture, healthcare, and education. The event served as a platform to share best practices and ground-level innovations that are reshaping service delivery and creating new opportunities for development.

The upcoming summit is expected to attract global leaders, technology experts, researchers, and industry stakeholders to discuss AI governance, ethical standards, innovation, and policy frameworks. India’s hosting of the event underscores its growing leadership in emerging technologies and commitment to harnessing AI for inclusive growth.
