Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs, Kiren Rijiju, has lauded the successful and uninterrupted debate on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill in the Rajya Sabha, calling it a "historic milestone."
BJP MP Jagdambika Pal, who also serves as the Chairman of the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill. In his remarks following the bill’s passage, Pal called the legislation a “big reform” for the Waqf system, which has long been under scrutiny for its alleged mismanagement.
Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva expressed disappointment over the opposition’s stance against the bill, emphasizing that it is intended to benefit marginalized Muslim communities and support their development.
