As the government broadens the tax base, Zomato, Swiggy, Ola, & Uber will be subject to GST from today.

From January 1, cab aggregators such as Ola and Uber will be required to collect a 5% Goods and Services Tax (GST) when booking two and three wheeler vehicles. In addition, from today, any footwear, regardless of the price, will be subjected to a 12% tax.

IDFC, RBL Bank, Power Grid, IndiGo, Biocon, Ashiana Housing, and Jindal Steel are stocks to keep an eye on.

At 57,794, the S&P BSE Sensex remained basically unchanged. In intraday trading, the 30-stock index climbed above 58,000 before reversing its gains. The Nifty 50 index on the NSE closed unchanged at 17,203.95
