Sandeep Naik, the president of General Atlantic's business in India and Southeast Asia, said in an interview that the company is in early-stage investment conversations with roughly 15 companies in areas such as technology, financial services, retail, and consumer.
According to Ravinder Takkar of ET, the exercise to issue the company's shares to the government against interest on deferred statutory payment is "just around the horizon." The 53-year-old, who has been at the helm of the loss-making telco since August 2019, stated that this is the last box that needs to be checked before finance is secured.
