Nityanand Rai Backs Amit Shah’s Statement on Mata Sita Temple in Bihar

Union Minister Nityanand Rai has reaffirmed Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s commitment to the construction of a grand Mata Sita temple in Bihar. Speaking on Tuesday, Rai emphasized that Shah always delivers on his promises and assured that the temple would be monumental in scale.

“Whatever he (Home Minister) announces, he does what he says. Mata Sita’s temple will be built in Bihar, and it will be grand and huge,” Rai stated.

The remarks came in response to criticism from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), which has opposed the announcement, accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of using religious sentiments for political gain. Rai, however, dismissed these allegations, accusing the RJD of engaging in vote-bank politics and appeasement.

“They (RJD) are doing appeasement for votes and are opposing the announcement of the construction of Mata Sita’s temple,” he added.

The proposed temple is expected to be a major religious and cultural landmark in Bihar, a state deeply connected to the legend of Mata Sita. The BJP has positioned the project as part of its broader agenda of promoting cultural heritage and religious tourism in the country.

As the political discourse over the temple intensifies, it remains to be seen how the project unfolds amid ongoing opposition and electoral considerations.
